CANO
She's lived it. Built it. Fixed it.
Decades of cross-sector leadership and executive experience in real estate development, environmental and general construction. Kim Cano is the real thing.

If your environmental construction or related company is generating revenue but the profit does not match the effort, you are not alone. Most founder-led contractors in the $3M to $50M range are busy, billing, and quietly bleeding.
The gap between what you earn and what you keep lives in your back office, your job costing, your billing cadence, and your staff. Most consultants do not know the difference between a manifest and a milestone. Kim does.
Kimberly "Kim" Cano is a Fractional Contractor Profitability Officer and C-suite executive with 28 years of professional experience spanning environmental construction, hazmat operations, real estate development and investment, property management, executive administration, marketing, media production, and business operations.
She began her professional career in 1998 at one of Hawaii's most respected long-term recovery programs, managing the administration department from the ground up — starting in the mailroom before Microsoft Office existed, teaching herself every system, and stepping up to run the entire department when her director was struck by a motorcycle and could not return. It would not be the last time she stepped into a leadership vacuum and delivered.
She Does Not Consult From a Textbook
She is HAZWOPER certified, DOT trained, and fluent in the language of field-heavy, compliance-driven, male-dominated contractor environments. She has managed PCB removals, lead acid battery accident cleanups, transformer extractions requiring four inches of bridge clearance during the Honolulu Marathon, federal and state agency audits, crane operations, containment structures, environmental scientists, and field crews.
The Numbers Speak for Themselves
- Took one company from zero to $6 million in revenue in under two years.
- Recovered $300,000 in outstanding collections in under 90 days.
- Grew another client's firm by 48 percent in less than one year.
- Saved over $1.2 million in operational costs at one firm alone.
Her nickname was not General Manager. It was Kim Possible.
What sets Kim apart from every other operational consultant is the breadth of what she has built, managed, and survived outside of environmental construction. She founded Grande Partei LLC in 2010, a real estate investment and development company that she operated for 13 years alongside her full-time executive career.
During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, she developed a four-unit residential property near the beach in Hauula — managing multiple contractors, navigating a FEMA-level storm that generated a $300,000 insurance claim with only $92,000 covered, coordinating SBA financing, overseeing full restoration, and ultimately selling the property for $1.2 million in 2025. Simultaneously, she built and operated Cabin del Sol, a top-rated five-star BNB in Fairplay, Colorado that she ran for nearly a decade before selling in 2025.
This is not background color. This is the reason her system works. When Kim walks into a founder-led company and finds the profit leak, she is drawing on nearly three decades of managing contractors, crews, vendors, back offices, compliance requirements, and financial chaos.
Today Kim operates The Cradle-to-Cash Operating System™, a five-pillar methodology that audits, rebuilds, and optimizes the operational infrastructure of founder-led companies in the $3M to $50M range. Her clients stop firefighting, start trusting their numbers, and recover 10 to 20 percent in lost margin within 90 days.
She is also a bestselling author writing under the pen name Natasha Brune, an international keynote speaker, and nonprofit founder recognized in USA Today, MSN Top 10 Women to Watch, Times of Paris, Business Weekly, and over a dozen international publications. But inside the walls of a contractor company, she is simply the person who finds the leak and fixes it before it becomes a flood.
Kim is a Colorado and Hawaii registered small minority women-owned business and serves founder-led companies nationwide, operating virtually with availability for strategic in-person engagements.
